The World Has Talent

I like some awful TV shows.  I’m easily amused by shows like Girls Behaving Badly, America’s Funniest Home Videos, etc.  A show that I really enjoy now is America’s Got Talent.  Unfortunately, jugglers never really have a good shot at winning the million dollar prize. No matter how good they are, the judges just [...]

Can joggling make you yawn?

Perhaps my head is too hot. At least that’s the suggestion of researchers of University at Albany on why I’m yawning so much.
Let me explain.
You see, a few weeks ago I noticed that I was frequently yawning. First, I thought it was just tiredness since I’ve only been getting about 5-6 hours of [...]

Another story of joggling in the press

Check out what the Martlet has to say about jogglers and joggling.  Yours truly was quoted.  It’s nice to see more people embracing the sport of joggling.

How to train for a marathon during a dull meeting or class

Has this ever ever happened to you?  You’re sitting in a meeting at work, listening to people talk about subjects of which you have little interest and you’re completely bored and annoyed. Or maybe you’re in a class like Organic Chemistry being lulled into a trance by talk of alkanes, alkenes, and ketones.
You [...]

Interview With An Island Joggler

The other day we talked about a school that was offering a college course on Joggling. Well, this had me intrigued so I contacted the course originator Dana Lee Ling to see if I could get some more information. This could be a new feature on Just Your Average Joggler…interviews with jogglers. The following [...]

6 Tips for Handling Your Achilles Tendinitis

Longtime readers of JYAJ know that I suffer from Achilles Tendinitis every so often. It turns out that this injury is pretty common. Runner’s World suggests that Achilles tendinitis represents 11% of all running injuries. That means 1 in every 10 jogglers in this community probably suffer from it. [...]

Joggling for College Credit?

Hey all you running jugglers out there, you thought this joggling thing would never amount to much? Well, check out this college joggling course that Dedwarmo found. I didn’t think it was serious until I read through the web pages. Indeed, it is (or at least was) a real course at the [...]

How Much Water Should A Runner Drink?

It used to be standard advice that marathon runners should drink as much as and as often as they could. Experts said “if you wait until you’re thirsty, it is too late. You are already dehydrated.”
But then you started hearing stories about people who drank too much and actually died from hyponatremia (EAH) [...]

It’s World Juggling Day Today!

What are you waiting for!??
Get out there and let the world know that you are a juggler.
I did my part spending 2 full hours out in sunny Chicago joggling around town.
If you need some ideas on what to do, check out these 5 ideas on celebrating World Juggling Day.

An Otter Juggling - This is just too cute

This isn’t much but I couldn’t resist.  Here is a video of an otter doing a little contact juggling.  The Ministry of Manipulation always has great videos but this one was inspired.  What can I say, America’s Funniest Home Videos is one of my favorite TV shows.
