I saw this fun article about joggling with Jack Hirschowitz. It was written by weather forecaster and runner, Amy Freeze. (Yeah, that’s her real name). She ran into Jack in Central Park, NY, where he was joggling. It’s a cute story. I remember Amy Freeze was here in Chicago for a while, didn’t know she went to New York or that she was a runner.
I don’t think she is going to become a joggler but she does have a goal to beat Jack in the upcoming New York marathon. His best is 4:51. I did not know that Jack was the oldest joggler to complete a marathon. That’s cool.
Well, good luck Amy and Jack in the upcoming race. The New York marathon is an excellent race and I encourage anyone who ever gets a chance to do that race. The crowd covering the last 3 miles is the most incredible experience you’ll have in any marathon. And joggling across the bridge at the start is just fabulous.
Incidentally, Jack is one of the main New York jogglers. The other is Ashrita Ferman. He holds the record for holding the most world records. Ashrita is also the guy who held the 50 mile joggling record before I broke it. I’d like to meet both him and Jack some day.

That’s a nice article. I’d like to meet him one day too. He seems like a very nice guy. Good luck at the NYC Marathon Jack! I wonder if Jack and I are the only jogglers with either an MD in Psychiatry and a Master’s in Psychology? It’s great therapy for the body and mind, that joggling is.
I bet you are the only jogglers with those degrees. I wonder if you can work joggling into some kind of treatment program.
