According to this research, scientists have found a potential link between daily consumption of diet soda and risk of vascular events.
This means all that soda I drink could lead to a stroke, heart attack or vascular death. Geez!!
I read through the study though and it’s pretty weak. People who drank 1 soda a day were 43% more likely to have one of these events. But they said there was no noticeable difference between people who drank between 1 soda a month and 6 a week.
How could they tell a difference between someone who drank 6 a week and someone who drank 7? That doesn’t seem reasonable to me.
I’ll keep drinking my diet soda but I will certainly keep an eye on future research.
