It’s good to see Joggling Joe Salter get some recognition for his upcoming juggling triathlon attempt. Here his local TV news program did a nice video piece on “Juggling Joe”.
Clearly Joe’s ability to joggle 5 is getting much better and he’s got that swuggling thing down cold. Amazingly, he is doing tricks while swuggling!! Incredible.
Looking forward to hear how your attempt goes Joe.

Thanks, Perry. I actually haven’t joggled 5 balls in years, I just did it for the reporter since she requested it. It crossed my mind though, to joggle the running portion of the triathlon with 5 just for fun after doing the interview. But, sound race advice is to not try to change anything drastically before the race, especially when you haven’t trained any for 5 ball joggling. I feel good about the race.
Yeah, I think just joggling 3 in the run of the triathlon will be impressive enough. As far as regular people go, 5 ball joggling is not that much more impressive than 3 ball joggling. To jugglers who know just how much harder it is, it’s amazingly impressive!
I thought the same thing, Perry! 5 ball joggling is not much different in the minds of folks, but to jogglers it’s a big difference! I am in awe of Barry for doing it in marathons… My neck will feel a lot better after the race if I just stick with 3
In juggling performance and in any routine, you never change something last minute that you haven’t prepared or practiced! I think I’ll stick with my plan. I do plan on doing a video though explaining why I chose 2 in 1 hand for the biking for my race versus 3 with no hands on a bike, and 3 with a unicycle. Just to educate others about the risks/benefits, pro’s and con’s, and other variables that on paper look good, but in practice maybe not.
