Foods to eat on the fourth of July

Here in the US, July 4th is a holiday celebrating the birth of the country. Mostly what it means is that people with regular jobs get the day off and usually end up going to a barbeque then watching fireworks. It’s always a good time.

At the barbeque you get all kinds of food to eat, some of it healthy, some of it not. Try to stick with the healthy stuff. I know I’m looking forward to filling up on watermelon while minimizing my beer intake.

Here’s an interesting article I saw about the 11 most healthy foods you can eat. And here is the list for those who need to make their shopping list this morning.

1. Fish
2. Kelp
3. Mushrooms
4. Coconut
5. Watercress
6. Wild berries
7. Wild rice
8. Wild game
9. Maple syrup
10. Honey
11. Nuts

Of course, I don’t see candy bars and soda pop on there so it seems like a bit of a boring list.

I see all kinds of lists like these. I wonder if there is a definitive one. Anyone know?

Joggle on!
