Here’s a reason to lose some weight

In case you needed another reason to lose a little weight, it turns out that overweight people were more likely to die in a car accident than people of average weight. running health

This study published in the Emergency Medical Journal showed that people who are overweight had an up to 80% higher chance of dying in a car reck. The researchers suggested that it was because seat belts took longer to restrain heavier people during an accident.

So, if you are interested in increasing your chances of surviving a car wreck, start an exercise program like joggling, and lose a few pounds. Of course, a better strategy would be to avoid car wrecks but no one ever tries to get in them right?

I also heard on NPR recently that heavier people are making public transportation buses more dangerous due to the fact that it takes longer to brake with more weight on the bus and they aren’t being equipped to handle the excess weight of heavy passengers. It’s wearing the buses down quicker, too.

Joe – that’s funny… I think.

I’ve been reading and inspirational book called “do life” about a guy from Little rock Arkansas that lost 130 lbs and even went on to finish an iron man. He has a pretty good video if you google Ben does life.
