An international joggling showdown

The great folks responsible for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon have put together this joggling press release about the upcoming showdown between the Chicago Joggler (me) and the awesome Canadian Joggler, Michal Kapral. It’s a real hoot. I’m really looking forward to this race. I’ve never actually run with another joggler before, but I anticipate my best marathon time ever. Maybe even fast enough to get into Guinness.

  1. I’ve been following your blog and didn’t realize that it was *you* that was going to be racing in Toronto. Good luck! I’m from Toronto, so I’m torn between who I’d like to see win.

  2. Arcaner, thanks for stoppin by the JYAJ and thanks for the well wishes. I like to think of our match-up as less of a competition and more of a show. That way we can both “win”. If I can set a PR then in my mind, I win. If you’re in the area come out and watch the marathon and say hi. I’ll be the joggler wearing the shirt “Caution: Joggler Ahead”

  3. [...] The Toronto Waterfront marathon is only 1 week away. Here is a recent joggling press release that talks about the International Joggling Showdown. We’re having fun with this one. This will be my 20th marathon and I have the highest hopes for setting a PR. I’ve trained almost as much as I could and have even lost a little weight.  I’ll put all my training stats up in a post this week. Before a marathon (or any big race) there are a lot of common questions you start to ask yourself. Here are the ones that will be constantly echoing in my mind this week. [...]
