Are you drinking enough water?

Here’s a bit of research published in the August issue of Mayo Clinic Women’s HealthSource about how much water you should drink.

According to them, women who have a normal level of activity (non-jugglers) only need to drink 2.2 liters. Men probably have to drink a little more.water and juggling

How Much Water

Since 2.2 liters doesn’t mean that much to people think of it like this

It’s about…

  • 6 cans of soda or beer or
  • a half a gallon of milk or
  • 4 bottles of 20oz soda or
  • 2.5 bottles of 32oz Gatorade

Things affecting how much water you need

Various things affect your water needs including such things as physical activity (jugglers & runners need more), the weather, the humidity, and whether you’re sick or not.

They say you should drink enough so you’re not thirsty. If you get dry mouth, a headache or feel a little light-headed then you need to drink more.

You’ll find when training for a juggling marathon you’ll often get a headache after a long training session. Not to worry, it goes away.

Joggle on.
