You know that regular exercise like running or joggling can help you lose weight, feel healthier, live longer, and even give you a
bigger brain. But did you know that it is also good for your skin?
According to this article on WebMD, exercise can have all kinds of benefits for your skin including reducing acne breakouts, reducing wrinkles and fight other signs of aging.
How Running Helps Skin
Some of the various ways running helps skin include
1. Increased circulation helps in the production of collagen & reduces wrinkles
2. Working out helps clear acne prone skin by reducing stress
3. By sweating, you help clear pores and reduce acne even more
4. Exercise can reduce hair loss
5. It can also possibly reduce puckering pockets of fat reducing cellulite
6. Stretches keep muscles tight and reduce crows feet and facial lines
I’ve got to say that I’m a bit skeptical of all these claims. While they sound good in theory, there isn’t much real evidence provided. But any reason that helps convince people to exercise more is good to me.

There might be something to the acne reduction claims…I’m having less trouble with acne now that I’m running than I have my entire life.
Of course, one piece of anecdotal evidence does not a study make

There could certainly be other factors. I’m with you on questioning any claims that something will cure everything that ails you. Still, it’s kind of inspiring, and since I’m out doing the ol’ walk, run, and juggle anyway, a little inspiration never hurts.
