Yesterday, I opened my mail and saw the white USP package for which I’d been waiting. I was hoping it would get here before Saturday and it did. Who says the United States Post Office is unreliable?
The package was from tthe good folks over at Gballz. They sent me three new joggling [...]

While most of us aren’t going to be 5-ball joggling fiends like Barry Goldmeier, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t use a set of 5 Gballz. And if you’re going to get 5, wouldn’t it be great to get an extra 2 for when you graduate to 7 ball joggling? Actually, I haven’t seen [...]

For Christmas my fabulous sister-in-law gave me a great gift. It’s a training device called The Stick. It seems like it will be pretty good and already seems to be helping keep my muscles from getting too sore. Here is a short review based on my own experience and research.

The bean bags used to break the 50-mile joggling world record last weekend were 12 panel Dodeca Gballz. They are excellent for joggling because they are durable, don’t absorb water or odors, and are perfectly sized (at least for my hand).
But now they’ve raised a mystery. Can anyone tell me what could possibly [...]

When I first started running, I used the cheapest running shoes available. Don’t even remember the brand name, but they were white with velcro closures instead of shoelaces. In 1992, they cost me $20 (US). Over the next decade plus, my shoe choice became a bit more sophisticated and expensive. [...]

My shoes stink.
It hasn’t been true for all my running shoes but this pair of Brooks Adrenaline GT-7 has picked up a stench and held it with the tenacity of a barnacle on a ship hull. If you have a similarly stinky pair you might wonder a couple of things.
Why do my running shoes [...]

When you joggle everyday you tend to put a lot of miles on your running shoes. In a little less than three months, my current pair (Brooks Adrenaline GTS) has racked up just over 400 miles. It makes you wonder…
How Long Should Running Shoes Last?
I don’t know for sure so research was in [...]

It’s question and answer time on JYAJ.

Great site, thanks for making the resource available.
I exercise most days including running and I have come across the problem of my ear buds (headphones) getting very smelly and therefore also making my ears stink! Not a nice problem.
Have you heard of this problem and are there [...]

The bachelorette asked a great question about the best headphones someone should use while running. Since most of my running involves listening to podcasts and audio books, I’ve learned a bit about headphones, the problems you might face and how to stop them.
I wasn’t always a headphone wearing runner. In [...]
