How to Find A Marathon Near You

My pal John Kelly tipped me off to this useful marathon map. It’s a picture of the 50 states and some of Canada with locations and dates of all the marathons. So, if you’re looking for a race that is in a desirable location at the right time of year, you’ll know where to go.

Caution, some of the information is out of date. For example, the Chicago Lakefront marathon was discontinued a couple of years ago. Be sure to contact the race’s website to get the most accurate data.

And if you are going to joggle it, you might be able to get a free entry or some publicity. Most marathon organizers embrace courteous jogglers.
