Joggler Journal – Running Streak Day 367

by Average Joggler on November 20, 2009

Day 367 of a quest to joggle at least one mile for 1000 days in a row.

Summary: I’m just winding down my training for the Philadelphia marathon coming up this weekend. Today, it was meant to be an easy joggle but somehow I managed to do 2 miles at a 6:48 pace. The way I felt, I’m thinking I’m in pretty good shape to do well in this marathon. My only concern is that I haven’t built up enough endurance by doing longer runs. However, my training is much like what I did for my last marathon and that turned out pretty well. You never know with a marathon. Could be a PR or could crash and burn. Either way, it will be fun.

Weather: 46 F, slightly cloudy, drizzlingjoggling shot

Listening to: Nothing – Song in head “Kiss Me Deadly”

Condition: Felt great. Left knee hurts a little

Shoes: Asics – 208 miles

I haven’t found crashing and burning to be as much fun as a PR.
