I stumbled upon this great story about the 1996 IJA Joggling Championships. In it, speedster joggler Owen Morse (he’s
pictured in the wikipedia entry on Joggling) broke the world record for the fastest 100 meter 3-ball joggling event.
But in joggling his 12.12 second time, he tripped and fell at the end and had a significant injury. He didn’t think he would be able to race in the finals. He sucked up the pain and ended up winning the finals 20 minutes later. Then he went on to break records in the 5-ball 100 meter race and participated on the world record setting 4×400 team. He had quite a day!
Joggler’s Jotting was a great column written by Bill Giduz and published in Juggler’s World during the mid 1990’s. It’s been long discontinued but fortunately, joggling lives on.

The story is not about the 1996 joggling championships. It’s from the Fall 1987 edition of Juggler’s World and is about the 1987 joggling championships.

George – thanks for the correction. I got the date from the website which says 1996.
Pretty much everything on the juggling.org website has that footer at the bottom, regardless of where the content is originally from. It’s often misleading, but considering the site hasn’t been maintained for the last ten years, don’t hold your breath on them fixing it.
