Joggling Journal – Running Every Day Number 514

by Average Joggler on 04/15/2010

Day 514 of a joggling streak which will last at least 1001 days in a row.

Summary: It’s 9 days until the Nashville marathon. While I’ve been running and juggling every day, my training has been pretty abysmal. I have faith that I will surpass my marathon time from the last time I did the Nashville marathon (2002 I think) but I’m skeptical I’ll PR. That’s ok though. Sometimes the marathon should be looked at as an experience to enjoy. And that’s how I’m taking the Nashville marathon.

Marathon Training plan

Of course, I loosely have a plan for training these last few days. I’ve already increased my miles this week and will do a 12 or 13 miler this weekend. Then I’ll run some 6 or 7 milers on Tuesday and Wednesday and “taper” Thursday and Friday. The marathon is on Saturday the 24th so we’ll see how it goes. I’m certainly going to have fun.

Incidentally, it was a beautiful (although a little hot & windy) day for running.

Go get ‘em. I love how you are able to joggle a marathon with such reduced training miles. That’s confidence and experience. Have fun with it, that’s what I plan to do with my next marathon-no PR plans just joggle and enjoy it.
