I would run with a fever because running pretty much helps with any kind of head sickness I might be feeling. Of course, I rarely get sick.

And when I am sick, I certainly don't run too hard.

I'm nowhere near to running marathons, but even with short, hard races, I've noticed that recovery runs on the following days are a good idea. I'm convinced that it speeds up recovery.

Perry, What is your take on running with a fever? I usually find that a light run helps with an ordinary cold, but I'm not sure about running if I've got a virus resulting in fever.

@Joe - it's not a bad idea to do a little joggling but just take it easy. The body does need time to recover.

I was just reading last night in my marathon training book and the author went over the benefits of staying active and running through the soreness to make it go away instead of staying inactive. I am going on a joggling recovery run today-

Keep it going.
