Joggling Streak Update – Day 412

by Average Joggler on 01/04/2010

Day 412 of a joggling streak which will last at least 1001 days in a row.

Summary: Now this was a cold day. It’s the kind of cold where your eyes tear up and icicles form on your eyelashes. You breath through a neck gaiter and the moisture from your breath freezes.  Joggling in this weather is hard core.  But I have to say, I enjoy the added challenge.  It isn’t great for training your muscles or stamina or anything.  It’s great for training your spirit and mind.

If you can keep yourself motivated to run in extremely cold (or hot) conditions, then you know that you can motivate yourself to keep going no matter what.  I never worry about quitting during a race because I know, if I can conquer the freezing conditions of a Chicago winter, I can conquer anything!

On a side note, I haven’t had a single joggling drop in 2010!

haha, I’ve never heard of joggling! Sounds like a good way of taking your mind off of running!

It is! It also is a great way to force you to maintain good posture while running.
