Juggling and Running the Chicago Marathon For the 10th Time

by Average Joggler on 05/31/2007

I just got confirmation, I am officially signed up for this fall’s Chicago Marathon. It will mark the 10th time I’ve run this race and the 8th time joggling the whole way.

This time I will be running for a charity called Global Business Assist. I’ll do a separate post on this shortly but this pretty much explains their mission.

Global Business Assist is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the world’s powerless through micro-development. We exist to mobilize professionals and community groups to bring business development and real relief to the world’s poor. We call it Micro-Power. And it works.

Essentially, it’s people helping people to help themselves. That’s something that’s really worth juggling for.

Very cool. I’m trying to decide if I will have a charity if/when I get to Ironman. The Chicago Marathon rocks! Joggling it is cooler :-)

Thanks for the kind words Tiger. I’m blushing. I’ve done 22 marathons so far. My best time is 3:22. I’ll have to check out your blog soon.
