Palindromic Joggling Streak Update Day 222

by Average Joggler on 06/27/2009

Day 222 of a quest to joggle at least one mile every day for 1000 days in a row.

Summary: Today was palindromic madness. Listen to this. It is the 222 day in a row of joggling. In that time I’ve covered 828 miles which gives me an average of 3.73 miles a day! Isn’t that great?

The workout wasn’t nearly as great. I ran the slowest that I’ve run in a long time, only averaging 8:17 min/mile over 5.25 miles. Sure, it was a little hot (~75F) but there is really no reason to be so slow. I just felt weak. Perhaps I didn’t eat enough? Or maybe there is something to this “real food” eating. For much of the previous month I had been eating more real food. I’ve gotten away from that now eating more candy bars, soda, bread, sugar cereal, etc. I’ve always been skeptical but maybe that stuff does have a negative impact on your performance. Or maybe it was just a bad day. No matter, 222 days of joggling in a row complete. 778 days ‘til my goal.

Weather: 75F, sunny with a nice breeze
