by Average Joggler on 04/20/2010

Joggler Joe Salter recently put out this video which gives joggling tips that are useful to both urban and rural jogglers alike.

In part 1 of this new series, he shows you how to turn while joggling so you can be aware of dangers around you.  Excellent tips Joe.

After doing the video, I also realized that these turning tips can be used to also interact with and make contact with people in your environment. So, it’s a way to make social connections too :)

Yeah, they’re good tips. While joggling, I notice that I’m able to move my neck side to side without having to alter my pattern. But this took many years / hours of practice.

@Perry- Yeah, the key is to keep the juggling balls in your peripheral vision and if you look away: it helps to throw the ball in the opposite direction you’re looking a little higher for one toss so that you can have it in your vision a little longer while you turn. You can do this very quickly or slowly. Along with safety, one of the best ways to use these is to smile, say hello, and make a nice gesture. It connects you to them, and it shows people that your not having to look directly at the balls as most would assume.
