45 min working on Just 6 ball juggling seems counter productive for me. Personally I've found that more than about 20 min on one trick doesn't lead to improvement. Better to stop after 20 min or so and take it back up the next day. But, if you were truying different 6 ball patterns, 45 min might be Ok. Personally here are my 6 ball tips:

Lots of practice with 3 in each hand.
Practice Sync Fountain. (I've found that frequently without good practice, my hands throw different heights, the Sync Fountain works to correct this because you can immediatly see the difference and fix it)
Once your hands are fairly even, go for the Async Fountain.

Practice a flash first. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat until you can flash with consistancy. Most problems occur with the start, start well and you can continue.

Then go for 12 throws/catches only. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. Concentrate on a good pattern.

I've also had 6 Ball success with:
Crossing Sync (Also known as Wimpy)
Half Shower
I've qualified a full 6 ball shower, but it's pretty hard and I tend to get pains in my throwing shoulder, so have given that up.
