New Juggling Endurance Record is Set
My internet access has been a bit limited these days but not so limited that this story was missed. Here is a report out of Dallas that says a new juggling record has been set. David Slick juggled three tennis balls for 12 hours, 12 minutes and 12 seconds.
While this is an impressive record, I’m pretty sure I could do that. Certainly, Ashrita Furman could. Perhaps this is a thing worth trying sometime next year. Right now, I’ve gotta stay focused on becoming a joggler who qualifies for Boston.
I wonder if that was without any drops. Guess if it was, it would have said so.
Cannot be too tough for someone that can joggle an ultra like yourself.

Perry – The kicker here is I believe this is a NO DROP record. This is more about focus and concentration that the juggling.

I have twice juggled over 12 hours without stopping or deviating from a cascade. My first attempt was only 2 hours because even though I was mentally fine and plenty skilled to continue, my arms were incredibly sore.Considering how sore my wrists, forearms, and shoulders get during the run, it is 90% physical endurance, 6% skill (I’ve acquired from about 150 hours of 3 ball endurance), and 4% mental.
To any juggler/joggler interested in juggling that length of time: Consider the huge investment of time it will take to build up your endurance.
Like I said, if it was a no dropper, it would have been mentioned first thing.
