Learn to play the ukulele

January 28, 2012

When I’m not joggling or juggling or reading/writing about science I love to play the ukulele.  It’s just an incredibly fun and portable instrument.  I’ve been playing since 1990 but never got very good.  I can play most of the chords and sing and strum my way through a bunch of songs, but I’m certainly [...]

January 22, 2012

I discovered this video via Obesity Panacea (joggler Travis Saunder‘s blog) and thought it was a pretty good description of why you should try to spend only 23 1/2 hours a day sleeping or sitting. I very much like the way this video was done. I would love to be able to draw and make [...]

UK Joggling is YouTube hit

January 21, 2012

I was amazed that this YouTube video of joggler Christopher Hardy has over 52,000 views!  WOW!! Interestingly, he does a reverse cascade throw which is different than nearly every 3 ball joggler that I’ve ever met. Great job Christopher! Hopefully we can get an interview with him shortly.

Will joggling boost your mood?

January 20, 2012

Why you should wear only one headphone

January 19, 2012

I’m an urban joggler. That is, I joggle mostly in the city. And joggling or running in the city can be dangerous. There are cars, trucks, busses, trains, blind alleys, construction equipment, crowds of people and even stray dogs that can cause you harm. Urban exercise can be dangerous. You know what makes it more [...]
