Joggling Streak Day 72
Day 72 of a quest to joggle at least one mile every day for 1000 days in a row.
Summary: I meant to joggle 5 or 6 miles today but ran out of time on account of the fact that we were going to drive out to see my parents. I notice in the winter that pedestrians are much less courteous. They take up the entire sidewalk and are much less inclined to move over when you want to pass. Perhaps they just aren’t expecting someone to be joggling at this time. Understandable, I guess.
Weather: 17 F
Distance: 3.02 mi – Courtland loop
Time: 4:28 pm
Run time: 25:12
Listening to: I Am America and So Can You – Stephen Colbert
Weight: 195 lbs
Drops: 0
Condition: Felt good. Cold and tired but legs were strong.
Are the pedestrians trying to avoid stepping off the sidewalk into snow?
There is room so that probably isn’t it. I think they just aren’t thinking that other people might be fool enough to be running by them in this cold weather.
You haven’t posted in a few days, so I assume you’re either: A) stuck in the snow after a long miserable Chicago winter joggle, or B) enjoying the fruits of Florida joggling weather. I hope it’s the latter.
12.5 Days to Marathon Joggling “fun!”
Of course the streak continues. I actually was out of town this weekend and haven’t gotten caught up yet. I should get updates published tomorrow.
I can’t wait to hear about your marathon experience!
