Joggling Streak – Running Day 130

130th day of a quest to joggle at least one mile every day for 1000 days in a row.

Summary: I had a great time volunteering at the Shamrock Shuffle! It reminded me of the days of being a waiter or when I worked at Toys R Us. There’s something about me that likes interacting with a demanding public. Don’t really know why, but I just like it. I like seeing people smile or making people laugh. I like to see the people who are crabby and impatient. And having a task that is well-defined, slightly challenging but doesn’t require much thinking is also satisfying to do. I was there for about 4 hours and the time just flew by.

It was tough to get motivated for today’s joggling session. The weather was cold, my body was tired and I had no reason to go except to keep the streak alive. But that’s enough! This is what I love about doing a streak. No matter how you feel, you know you’ll do it. Breaking the streak now because of laziness would be like a nuclear bomb going off on my self esteem. It just can’t happen.
